An Introduction to Global Citizenship

INTRODUCTION

The world we live in is a complex web of connections and interdependence: global phenomena such as migration, climate change, and, recently, the COVID-19 pandemic transcend countries’ boundaries and pose challenges that require global mobilization.

Global Citizenship refers to the idea that one’s identity surpasses geographical borders and that responsibilities or rights derive from membership in a broader group.
